My family is now in Morocco, and I’m living by myself in our US home. My family is in Morocco settling in: the kids in a new school (I’ll talk about that experience in a future post), a new place to live in, and getting things in order. I stayed behind in the USA for work reasons and also I needed to tighten some loose ends. One of those loose ends is what to do with our US home.
My living abroad experience started more than 20 years ago without any planning. It was a stroke of luck and opportunity that landed me first time in Canada then later in the USA. What was a foreign land in the beginning is no more. After many years living in the USA, it eventually became my new home.
Now that I’m not the young man that crossed the Atlantic ocean many years ago and I have a family, many things have changed. One of them is the persistent question “Where to continue my journey ?”.
USA and Canada flights tickets to Morocco can be expensive. They can cost at least $700 for each passenger. If you are travelling with family, the cost adds up pretty quickly to a few thousands of $.
